Olympic Torch Relay

23rd of May 2012 what an exciting day in Cirencester!

On this beautiful sunny day, an estimated 8,000 people turned out to watch the Olympic Torch make its way through the town, different generations lined the streets waving their flags, the atmosphere was buzzing with laughter and cheers. In the Abbey grounds live music was played through out the day, people sat enjoying the sunshine and listened to the great music being played.

Paul was out and about through out the day to capture the events on this glorious day

Row your boat....

We had a fantastic time when  Maria organised for her and her five Sisters, Brother, and two nieces plus Partners to have a photo shoot to surprise their mum for her birthday, it was a great atmosphere and they were happy to pose away!

It was great fun getting the little ones to smile, everyone had to sing "row row" it was like having a choir in the studio! I lost count how many times we sang the song....

"Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream,
merrily, merrily, merrily life is but a dream.
Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream,
if you see a crocodile don't forget to scream!"

"Fantastic job guys, really enjoyed today. Have never felt so relaxed or enjoyed having my own photo taken up until now thanks to capture every moment. Brilliant photography just want to buy the whole lot!!" Kelly

"If you fancy having some really nice pics done i highly suggest capture every moment photography studio so check them out!!!" Maria

Editorial

Thought I would share this editorial with you as featured in a local magazine in Cirencester.

Business Profile Carissa Jones and Paul Johns.
Capture Every Moment Photography & Video

Carissa Jones began her photographic and video company ’Capture Every Moment’ three years  ago in 2009 in partnership with her dad Paul Johns, an award winning photographer. Although the business was Carissa’s idea originally, they have always worked successfully together as a father / daughter team. They started off based in the family home in South Cerney, but despite the recession the business has grown steadily and they have recently taken a lease on a lovely and well situated studio just off Cirencester town centre in Templar Mews, Black Jack Street. It is loft like with Cotswold oak beams which make a great quirky background for indoor shoots. Their clients have remarked on its welcoming atmosphere, especially for the youngsters who feel very relaxed, but that’s probably in no small part because Carissa is a qualified Nursery Nurse who is very experienced in bringing the best out of children! She will always try and work her magic with them and this may include throwing balls at Paul, singing a song or two, even roaring like a lion....generally acting the clown! And it works.Carissa has over six years experience in the business. She has been trained by Paul, who’s had a camera in his hand since he was 16, but the videography is self-taught with guidance from a friend. They specialise in weddings, events and portraits, and Carissa looks after the admin and the business side of things too.Weddings often bring surprises, both good and bad. One time they discovered that groomsmen will do anything for the camera – even a back flip against a wall. Another time they were hired to film a wedding, alongside a different photographer, when half way through the wedding the photographer threw a strop and walked out! Paulseamlessly stepped into the breach as photographer to help the bride and groom out, thus saving the day. “The wedding was a success and they had free photos from us!" says Carissa.

Fun Photo Shoots!

We have had a busy couple of weeks, photo shoots and another wedding booked for spring next year.

We had a great day at a local nursery school we captured some great images and found our prop "Big Red Box" worked a treat as they loved hiding and playing peek a boo with us! The children gave us smiles, cheeky grins and a few even poked out there tongues! We look forward to seeing them again in November.
We had a great photo shoot with Olivia and Harry, brother and sister, oh and lets not forget buzz light year who came along too! They were both naturals in front of the camera and had a great time posing , smiling and having fun together.
The Grace family had a fantastic photo shoot, the whole family are naturals and it was a very quick session...because they were so natural! Freddie and Charlie had fun wearing hats and chucking balls at each other, Freddie enjoyed sitting on Charlie's back and squashing him...he found it very funny!
We love it when people enjoy photo shoots, children want to play and have fun, so we think this is the best way to be! sometimes grown ups dread it but once they are here, we do all we can to make them feel relaxed and happy to be photographed, they always say they have enjoyed it afterwards!

Our First Blog!

Well here it is our first blog from Capture Every Moment........
Maybe I should start by telling you a little bit about us, my name is Carissa I own Capture Every Moment, I do both videography and photography and have done for over 5 years now before this I use to do nursing and child care, so a big change! We are a father/daughter team which means i work with my dad Paul he has had a camera in his hands since he was 16 years old...so long enough!

We do Wedding, Portrait, Event and Commercial photography and videography and we both enjoy what we do!  We have had a busy couple of months as we have opened a photographic studio in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. After 3 years of searching we have found a great place! So we have been busy with portrait sittings, Jack and baby sister Tilly popped in and I think baby Tilly showed Jack how it was done as she was a great little poser! Jake came along and showed us his cheeky smile and had fun throwing balls at Paul and I, Gemma and best mate Meana had a fantastic shoot, giggles all round, we also had Josh and Becky they had some baby bump portraits taken, Becky did very well considering she only had 4 days to go!! We have had some great shoots recently and more to come.
A selection of pictures from the last couple of months.
