Mr & Mrs Kay - A Beautiful Cotswold Village Wedding

On a beautiful sunny summers day in August, David and Carla become husband and wife. David and Carla live and work in Birmingham but chose to marry at Quenington Church as Carla's parents have a home in the village which has been part of the family for years, in fact the village hall where the evening celebrations took place used to be a church and Carla's parents and grandparents married there - so lots of family history!

We arrived at the house to photograph Carla and her Sisters getting ready. The morning flew by with  lots of giggles, chatter and pork pie munching! It was soon time to walk to the church, yep we walked because the church was just down the hill, the bride and bridesmaids with the father of the bride and pageboy and of course the beautiful flower girl headed for the church.

The church filled with close family and friends as Carla and David said their vows and became 

Mr & Mrs Kay. After a few photos with the family and the confetti throw which was dried rose petals from Carla's mom and sisters gardens, we headed off for some photos of the newly weds.

The reception was held at the village hall and was decorated by Carla, David and family members. It was stunning, with bunting hanging from the ceiling, home grown flowers in jam jars by Carla's mum, cake stands made by David's dad, rustic frames for table numbers and a vintage tea set. It was a fantastic D.I.Y job with lots of thought and love. We left the Bride and Groom just after the first dance to enjoy and party the night away.

Saturday 5th July 2014 We arrived on a rainy wet morning to photograph Lauren getting ready at her sisters home in Gloucester. When we arrived we were greeted by 12 Bridesmaids...yep 12....Plus Lauren, 3 page boys,  Lauren's Sister and Brother, two hairdressers and a make up artist - it was manic, busy, noisy but the atmosphere was buzzing as they were all getting ready together. After a while at being at the house it was time to head of to the church to meet Matt.

Matt seemed calm and relaxed as photos were taken and guests arrived, as soon as the bridesmaids arrived he headed off inside the church to wait for the bride.

The Bridesmaids arrived in a beautiful white stretch limo, but the bride arrived in style in a White Jaguar and she arrived early!

As with lots of weddings there is always certain people missing who aren't with us any more, its always emotional. For Lauren her dad passed away many years ago, so her brother had the big job of giving her away, he did a fabulous job. And I think a certain someone was looking down over the day as the sun decided to make an appearance while Matt and Lauren said "I Do"

After the wedding the reception took place at The Cheltenham Regency Hotel.

It was a beautiful day for Mr & Mrs Bryan. We wish them all the happiness for the future ♥

South Cerney Wedding - Mr & Mrs Hughes

We had been looking forward to Brian and Claire's wedding ever since they booked us not only because we know them but also it was the first wedding we have ever done at our local church...so it was a little special!

 Brian and Claire became husband and wife on the 17th of May, the wedding took place at South Cerney Church and the reception at Cirencester Town Football Club. To say it was a hot sunny day is an understatement because wow....it was boiling!

We arrived first thing for bridal preps, a calm Claire was busy making tea for us all....yep she was that chilled...before having her make up done by Samantha Davis and then her hair by good friend Lea Rose. Throughout the morning all was calm and laughter and tears of happiness filled the air, Claire was in good company with her parents and bridesmaid at her home with her. Not too far away Brian was getting ready too with his best man and ushers, Paul turned up for photos but they were ready and waiting, posed for a few pictures and then they headed to the pub!

Claire arrived at the Church with her dad in a convertible Bentley, It was time for her to walk down the isle and be given away by her dad. Watched by family and friends Claire and Brian became Mr and Mrs Hughes, when the vicar announced "you are now husband and wife" the congregation cheered. After the wedding we took the short walk down to a friends home, who kindly let the newly-weds use the grounds for photos, as they made the walk family and friends gathered both sides and confetti was thrown. 

Once the final photos were taken down Bow Wow we made our way to Cirencester Football club for the afternoon and evening reception. The very yummy food was served (very yummy Mandy!) then was time for the speeches, which of course had guests laughing and crying! We left not to long after the first dance, where they all partied till the early hours.
