Shelly & Mervin - Gloucestershire Wedding Photography

On the morning of August 17th, we turned up at Goldsworthy's hair salon in Cirencester to meet the Bride and her Bridesmaids getting ready for the day ahead. A few nervous giggles were let out as soon as the cameras appeared but they soon disappeared. Once everyone's hair was made beautiful it was time to head to the hotel for the remaining bridal preparations.

The wedding ceremony was held at the Parish Church in Cirencester an reception took place at The Crown of Crucis both lovely venues. The ceremony was very personal with both Mervin and Shelly reading poems to each other. After the ceremony we headed into the Abbey grounds for photos and were very lucky to be in the right place at the right time as when the rain started Mervin and Shelly were having a little dance on the bandstand, once the rain had finished it was time to head for the reception.

At the reception a vintage tea party was waiting and went down a treat with cucumber sandwiches, salmon and scones and more on the menu! Speeches soon got under way and the photo booth was ready  - time to party the night away!

Makeover Experience - Cirencester Photography Studio

We have done a few makeovers at the studio and I must say every lady lets their inner model shine! Some lady's when booking say "I hate the camera" but yet once they have had a cup of tea and chatted about the shoot while having their hair and make-up done they start to relax and feel at ease about the shoot. Below is a little more information about the shoot and what to expect.

When you book your shoot i will ask if you have a theme in mind i.e Rock Chick, 1950's, Glamorous ect as this will then give the make up and hair stylist  an idea of different options available to suit you. You don't have to have a theme but its great to have an idea of what you want to look like in the final picture!

On the day itself when you arrive you will meet and have a chat with me about the shoot over a cup of tea or two! I will then introduce you to Monika our hair and make-up stylist. Monika will chat to you about some ideas you both may have about your hair - up, down, curly, straight and make-up - vibrant, pastel, bright - yep she can do it all!

After we have both chatted to you and your make-up and hair are done it will be time to step in front of the camera. I normally take photos in the studio and also out on location at the local park, but you don't have to go out and about if you don't want. So you will pose and look gorgeous in front of the camera and most importantly have some fun!

After the shoot I will select the best images and edit them for you to view a few days later. We have different packages available to suit everyone.

Even though I have lots of ideas in my head of poses and fabulous looks some times I use mood boards and Pinterest to create and find some new ideas as does Monika. Below are links to check out just a few ideas we both have on Pinterest.

You can have the shoot on your own and you are welcome to bring a friend for support or even get in touch as we can create a package just for you - maybe a group of friends can have a makeover, a giggle and a photo shoot together.
