Gemma & Rob Pre-Wedding Shoot at Crudwell

Gemma and Rob are set to marry in April 2015 and we recently had a good catch up all about their wedding day plus took a few photos too! We we're very lucky with the weather as just as the last photos of them with their lovely dog were taken the heavens opened and the rain just poured!

2014 - Wedding Reflection ♥

2014 has been a brilliant year with so many beautiful weddings and lovely couples choosing us to be a part of their special day. It's such a big decision choosing a wedding photographer to capture your special day, so its always an honour to be chosen. Lots of our couples have stayed in touch too which is lovely as we get to hear all the exciting things happening in their lives and this year already some of our couples are awaiting a special delivery by the stork and one couple have already had their bundle of joy!

Lots of great moments this year one of our couples had an owl deliver the rings which was a first for us and was such a beautiful touch also a first for us a Guard of Honour after a military wedding. We had our biggest bridal party to date consisting of 12 Bridesmaids, 2 ushers, 4 pageboys plus the best man. We also had a dove release in 2014 too. Lots of church weddings throughout the year too, we have worked with the same vicar at 5 of them! Also back in May we finally had a wedding at our local church and a few more there this year too, In July we met a vicar who wouldn't allow any photos what so ever throughout the service but it didn't dampen the spirits of the newly weds. The weather is always such a hot topic and last year we had one extreme to the other from one of the hottest days of the year to a wedding in July which during the photo call we had to take cover while the heavy rain, thunder and lightening was above us yet just 10 minutes later the sun made an appearance again. Also unfortunately back in February one of the venues grounds were completely flooded. We have seen lots of DIY weddings in 2014 too, including home made bunting, home grown flowers for confetti, cakes made by relatives, personalised wedding favours made by the bridal party and even a mother of the bride making the wedding dress plus much more.

2014 Brides have been AMAZING as when the weather has been hot, hot, hot they still smiled and looked beautiful and on the days it rained each and every one of those brides braved the cold and wet and hitched their dresses up and enjoyed their day with no worries and still looked every bit the beautiful bride! Also lets not forget the Groom's ...... they looked beautiful too!

2014 was another great year which we will look back on with great fondness. 2015 is already looking like our busiest year to date and we can not wait for our first wedding of the year later this month. Below is a selection of our favourite photos from the year ♥

Bridal Shoot at Stanton House

In June we had organised a country themed style shoot at Stanton House Hotel which was great fun for all involved. On the same day Monika the Hair & Make up stylist arranged to bring along an extra model and take advantage of the opportunity to use the beautiful grounds at the venue. We kept the style different from the themed shoot and went for a more dramatic Bride feel.

Debbie is a model and was brilliant in front of the camera and achieved the looks that Monika wanted. Debbie wore two different dresses from two different bridal boutiques - Veils of Berkeley and Wedding Days of Cheltenham and her hair and Make up was changed to compliment each dress. Also to add even more prettiness to the shoot we used the gorgeous jewellery from Posy And Pearl.

Country Wedding Inspiration

A little while ago I started planning a styled shoot which took place on June 25th at Stanton House Hotel. The shoot I really wanted to do was "Country Style" so i began planning using pinterest as my main source of inspiration, once i had a clear vision in my head i contacted a few wedding professionals - a few suppliers i knew already but also a few local suppliers i wanted to work with. With lots of chatting, phone calls and emails the photo shoot was planned and the day was upon us!

We had two models on the day and two separate shoots (I will share Debbie's very soon) but for our country styled shoot Victoria was our model, she has never modelled before which was what i wanted, somebody natural and just like a bride - being photographed for the first time. We kept hair and make up simple, from a plait with flowers in the hair to long golden loose curls with a gorgeous crown reef to finish the look. We had two different dresses too, long and short plus a pair of country boots - who needs heels!

It was a sunny day with lots of breeze, which we found out with the balloons (they had a mind of their own at times). Victoria made modelling look easy as she was relaxed and happy throughout. We also had set up and indoor table beautifully dressed and also an outdoor table to show how easy outdoor styling can look with the right team. I chose Stanton House as the location because the grounds are beautiful as is the house and felt it was the perfect location for a "country" inspirational shoot.

So a great team, beautiful model with flawless make-up and stylish hair, gorgeous accessories and fun balloons, stunning dresses and wild flowers, lovely table styling and of course no country shoot is complete with out a pick up! I loved this shoot and i hope we as a team have given you some inspiration towards planning your Country wedding.
