A little bit of Press...

Thursday 2nd August 2012

Look who is in the Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard, here is what they had to say.......

A cutting from the paper
" A woman in Cirencester who launched a videography venture four years ago has enlisted the help of her father to expand into the field of photography.Carissa Jones, of South Cerney, launched Capture every Moment in 2009. She had trained as a nursery nurse but decided to follow a different career path. The 26-year-old started off producing videos of events and special occasions such as weddings . But the venture proved such a success she has now opened a photography studio in Black Jack Street.Carissa said she was able to expand the business with the support of her photographer dad Paul Johns, 44, whose experience in the field has provided her with all the knowledge she needs."I'm just starting to venture into photography with my dads support, guidance and training because my dad is a photographer and has had a camera in his hands since he was 16," she explained."I had a change of heart after i filmed a friends wedding. I did a good job and my dad and a few friends encouraged the new-found skill. i love this because you meet so many different people from different walks of life, it's a wonderful feeling giving a bride and groom a wedding album full of memories and to know every day in this job is going to be different from one day to the next"

Mr & Mrs Ritchings

On Saturday the 14th July we arrived at The Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester, to a calm, relaxed and happy bride chatting to her bridesmaids, enjoying a giggle or two while eating home made cup cakes, drinking tea, juice and pimms! As the hair and make-up preparations began, so did the photography and film.....oh and a lot more giggles!

The Groom (James), Best Man and Groomsmen looked dapper in top hat and tails with canes. The Bride (Rachel) arrived to the church in beautiful style, horse and carriage and so did the bridesmaids in a beautiful vintage car. The ceremony was held at Cirencester Parish Church and the reception at the Royal Agriculture College and the yellow theme continued through out...they were very lucky with the weather too! Here is a few of my favourite images from the day :)

Here Come the Girls!

Wow! What a great weekend!

Heels, lip gloss, hair brush, dresses and gorgeous smile's seemed to be the theme this weekend along with lots of giggles!

Laura was a little nervous at first but soon got into the swing of it!

Emma was a natural....after her nerves had settled

Best friends Eden and Ellie had a blast and loved every second of the photo shoot!

Maria was keen but a little nervous but soon relaxed!

Kat was a natural in front of the camera

Then we had a fantastic group of ladies, not just any group but Best Friends with their daughters.
The atmosphere was fantastic, relaxed and so very enjoyable!

Newborn Photography

Even though I'm a videographer I have always done photography, mainly at weddings as a "second shooter" or at nursery schools, but my interest in photography is starting to grow and I have developed a lovely, enjoyable but challenging interest in Newborn photography!

I met baby Luca when he had his first ever family shoot with sister Honey, Mum and Dad. Luca was so tiny! After the photo session I asked Jo (mum) if she would mind if I took some photos of just Luca on a separate occasion and she was more than happy for him to model so I could further my photography skills.

Jo brought a selection of clothes with her and I was eager to use my new baby props.....very dinky props!
Luca was wide awake he didn't seem to mind having his photo taken...except every time the lights flashed he frowned, a very cute frown might add! After a while Luca was tired, so we wrapped up my first session...and I loved it!

Here is my favourite four images
