Cirencester Photography Studio - Jodie

I had a lovely afternoon on Saturday photographing the lovely Jodie. I have known Jodie for around seven to eight years and now she's all grown up and is such a beautiful 15 year old young lady. We have taken photos of her and her family for a few years now, so I knew she would be great in front of the camera.

We had a few changes of clothes  throughout the shoot and props too - it was too windy for the brolly! Jodie was a natural in the studio and even on location, people walking by didn't faze her at all. I loved the shoot and I'm super happy with the results :-)

Great Model = Happy Photographer!

Cirencester Photographer - Makeover Shoot with Alison

Alison was given a Make Over voucher by her husband and children for Christmas and on Thursday she came to the studio to have some fun!

We all had a little chat about what Alsion was going to be wearing, make up and hair styles. Alison doesn't wear make up normally so was happy to take Monika's advice on colours and put all her faith in her to make her look extra gorgeous! As Alison doesn't wear dresses very often (hardly ever!) we started the photo session in what shewas comfortable in, jeans and a jumper. Its always important you feel good as well as look good for shoots otherwise if your not comfortable in what your wearing it will show in the pictures. Alison is a natural in front of the camera, her smile is beautiful - This is one gorgeous Mum!

Watch me Grow!

Last Friday Bobby came in with his Mum & Dad for a Smash the Cake photo shoot - It was messy but great fun! Bobby has been photographed by us since...well before he was born, Tasha (Mum) had a baby bump session and it has been a pleasure to photograph this little family since.

It's great when our clients come back to us time and time again as the children get to know us and aren't shy or nervous around us as they grow. Bobby has been a pleasure to capture and we look forward to future shoots. It will soon be his first Birthday - Happy Birthday little man! x

Mr & Mrs Bull - Wiltshire Manor Wedding

On a wet Thursday afternoon in September we arrived at Whatley Manor in Wiltshire to photograph Charlie and Dan's wedding. This venue is absolutely stunning and the grounds are equally just as beautiful, acre after acre has the wow factor and better still Dan and Charlie had made the decision to have their wedding outside in the Cotswold stone gazebo.

When we arrived Dan was relaxing and chatting to friends and family, so we made our way up to see Charlie who was busy preparing for the day a head, her friend Lea was busy fixing hair and make-up in one of the biggest and nicest bridal suites i have seen. About 30 minutes before the wedding, the sun decided to show up and turned the grey sky to a beautiful blue.

Dan and Charlie said their vows while being watched by close friends and family, it was a small and intimate wedding , Dan's daughter was best woman and Charlies daughter was bridesmaid who read a lovely reading during the ceremony as did a friend. After the ceremony guests relaxed in the afternoon sun while enjoying the yummy canapes while Dan and Charlie did what the most dreaded - the photos!!

When Dan and Charlie booked us they said "We hate having our photos taken" but they did very well on the day as you can see for yourself below. Even though they hate the camera, i'm so happy they decided to have photographers to capture their special day now their children Harry, Poppy and Romie will have some special memories to look back on in the future.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Bull! We wish you every happiness xx

Dan & Charlie

Dan and Charlie are getting married in September this year. Their pre-wedding shoot took place at their home and even involved their gorgeous children and the cat. I've known Charlie for a few years (I used to look after Poppy at nursery school) and I'm chuffed to bits she's chosen us to capture her special day.

In Charlie's words "We both hate having our photo taken but Dan is particularly bad at posing, he always pulls a 'Chandler' face"  they did very well but I must admit the kids are naturals!

We visited The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury on Monday for Dan and Jules pre-wedding shoot and wow what a gorgeous venue for their wedding day! The Barn has beautiful grounds which of course make for beautiful wedding pictures and these two are naturals in front of the camera and are going to be a fun Bride and Groom!

Rock it or Trash it!

Well didn't I have fun at our recent shoot at Ingleside House we got to do a "Trash the Dress" shoot with powder paint which was great fun and Tiffany our beautiful model was such a star and totally up for it!

This is a great idea if your married and have your beautiful dress (which cost lots of pennies) sat in your wardrobe, why not put it back on and have some fun and create more memories. You don't have to be recently married to do this, you could do it for an anniversary maybe? It doesn't have to be just you, you can  involve your husband or bridesmaids.

So what is "Rock the Frock" and "Trash the Dress"

Trash the Dress is exactly what is says, you trash the dress - It could be a powder paint fight between you and your husband or even bridesmaids, rolling around on the beach, dancing in the rain and jumping in big muddy puddles or even go the extreme of cutting up the dress.

Rock the Frock is a great way after your big day to get back in your beautiful wedding gown and have a fabulous photo shoot it could be walking along the beach, sitting on hay bales or posing away in the high street or at an urban location such as a skate park. This shoot is more like a fashion shoot, so let your inner model shine!

Love this!

For more information get in touch  to discuss planning you "Rock" or "Trash" session!

Colour Explosion!

Thought I would share our recent feature on Aspirational Bride Blog - check it out!

Trash the Dress Cirencester

We organised the shoot based on a story board which is as follows........
“As the Bride ”Tiffany” prepared for her special day, she sat reading a classic story tale, as she flicked through the pages of her book she comes across a feather of which leads her into a story of her own.  Intrigued by the feather Tiffany follows its trail down the stairs as she follows she comes across a room with wedding signs, wedding cake and a glass of champagne ready and awaiting just for her, she turns to see  a table with a  beautiful spring table runner with her favourite colours featured with finishing touches of chair sashes and stationary with her name beautifully placed “Bride”. Once again Tiffany follows the feather through the door into mysterious woods where she finds herself searching and following a trail of feathers which lead her into a secret garden. Once inside the garden she soon becomes fascinated by a table of vintage cutlery with bright bold colours, colours she loves. She looks around and with a colour explosion her dress is transformed into a wild array of colours. With a blink of an eye Tiffany is sat back in her chair, with the book now closed Tiffany is sat wondering was it all in her imagination?”

We also got to work with some great wedding suppliers
Below are a few of the photos from the shoot! Hope you like the story and feature :-)
