St.John Baptist Church Cirencester - Christening of Peter

Just over a week a go, we photographed the Christening of Peter at St.John the Baptist Church in Cirencester. We photographed the Christening in the same way as a wedding, the photography telling the story.

 

Peter looked very cute in his Christening outfit and was happy throughout, he had smiles for everyone. 

Close family and friends watched as Peter was Baptized. 

  

 

 

St.Johns the Baptist Church (also known as Cirencester Abbey or Parish Church) is one of our favourite Churches to photograph, it is one of the largest Parish Churches in England, with history dating back hundreds of years.

 

Stephanie & Gavin - Bibury Pre-Wedding Shoot

We thought we would have a lovely little walk around Bibury for Gavin and Stephanie's pre-wedding shoot.... which we did, but in the drizzle and a few heavy down pours! Their wedding takes place in just a few weeks and it was lovely to meet up with them both and their two children to discuss their big day!

Naomi & Doug

Last week we had a catch up over a cup of tea with Naomi & Doug at Manor by the Lake, plus we had a good look around the Manor and gardens and took a few pictures of the happy couple who are set to marry at the manor in March. 

The venue is absolutely beautiful and the plans for their big day sound amazing - looking forward to it all ready! ♥ 

 

Guild Of Photographers Awards - February 2014

Both Paul and I are Members of The Guild of Photogaphers which is an organisation for photographers from portraits - weddings, students - professionals and many more whom belong to the photography industry. They have monthly competitions of which Paul has entered various times and won numerous awards including Bar, Bronze and Silver. Photos are separated into different categories and are judged by a panel of experienced judges with different photographic backgrounds and on the 21st of each month you receive news back on any awards won and also feedback if needed on how we could possibly improve.

I entered three images for February's "Image of the Month" Competition for the very first time! After weeks of nerves I finally got my results yesterday and happy to say all three images got awarded a Bronze Award......" Images of a strong standard at a professional level (A Bronze Bar)"

Gloucestershire Wedding Photographer - Ric and Sarah

With only six weeks to go until Ric and Sarah's wedding day, Saturday was the perfect day for their pre-wedding shoot! Also a great opportunity for a good chat about their day and to check out the venue. Their wedding takes place at Cheltenham Regency Hotel in April so hopefully the sun will be shining just like Saturday :0)

Lucy and Tim

On Tuesday we headed to Newbury for a pre-wedding shoot with Lucy and Tim. Pre-wedding shoots are a fantastic time to catch up with our Bride & Grooms and to chat about their wedding day in more detail plus as we have never been to this venue before its was a great opportunity to have a good look around and of course take some photos. Their wedding takes place at Newbury Manor which is located within nine acres of beautiful land including waterfalls, water meadow and even a water mill. 

Lauren & Simon

We only met Lauren and Simon by chance as the couple from Bristol was visiting Cirencester for a day out and the smell of waffles led them to our door ...as we are situated over the eatery and Simon was hungry! I'm glad he was hungry as they are such a lovely couple and it was a pleasure to be part of their wedding day.

For a few days before their wedding it rained but on the day itself  the sky was blue and it was a lovely September day. We arrived at Banwell Castle for Bridal preparations to be greeted by the bride busy checking up on things instead of getting ready but after a hug she was soon in the bridal suite with her Bridesmaids and mom preparing for the day ahead. Bridal prep was full of laughter and tears....good tears!

The wedding took place outdoors in the castle grounds with family and friends watching them say their vows. After photos and drinks the bride, groom and guests enjoyed the speeches and hog roast. Then came my most memorable part of the day the first dance to Guns N Roses "sweet child of mine"  which included head-banging and air guitar brilliant!
