Portrait Sessions

Cirencester Photographer

We have lots of people say "I would love a photo shoot but hate having my photos taken" But do you hate having your photo taken or do you fear a fake smile or pose, i bet when your on holiday there are lots of photos of you being natural and smiley? That's because your relaxed and at ease and probably never even noticed the photo was being taken - well that's how we are at Capture Every Moment we create a relaxed atmosphere with a relaxed approach to the photo session, we never make you stand like soldiers (unless you want to) we like natural smiles and will do our very best to make sure your relaxed through out the session and most importantly - having fun!

1. Booking the session
When you book your session over the phone, email or even through Facebook i will suggest a few things
  • If bringing children - what time of day are they happiest
  • Bright coloured clothes look best compared to white or grey
  • We have props at the studio but you are more than welcome to bring along favourite toys, football kit, ballet shoes and tutu, skateboards or anything that may be personal to you and will show case your personality.
  • You can bring a change of clothes - I suggest wear something comfy!

2.Before the photo session starts
When you arrive you will meet both Paul and I (Carissa) and we will have a little chat  about what you wish to create during the session. Oh and you can have a cup of tea or two!

3. The photo session
Even though we have a studio we are also surrounded by beautiful parks which make great locations for out-door shoots, so you can have your session inside and out the choice is yours. Maybe you have a favourite place or location - we can do the shoot there if you prefer!? During the session we will chat to you so you feel relaxed, we have music playing in the background so its not too quiet - if you want to bring along some of your favourite music you can! We want the session to be fun, relaxed and for you to feel comfortable through out so you will want to come back time after time.

Wedding of Mr & Mrs Scrivens

The Wedding of Jonathan and Samantha Scrivens took place May 25th at Watermoor Church, Cirencester and the reception followed at The Park Hotel, Cheltenham. We have known Sammy and Jon for a few years now as Jon was best man at his brothers wedding and Sammy was a bridesmaid - and you guessed it we were the photographers! So we were chuffed when they decided to book us for their all important big day.

While Jonathan was getting ready at his parents house, Sammy was getting ready at home with her bridesmaids and Mom. Sammy was very relaxed and calm while having her hair and make-up done while the bridesmaids did their best to avoid the camera! Soon time seemed to had flown by and Sammy's transport was ready and waiting to take her to the beautiful church.

After the ceremony and a few photos, the guests, Bride & Groom were relaxed and enjoying the sunshine in the gardens at The Park Hotel. After the speeches, cutting of the cake and first dance we left the newly weds to party the night away.

We visited The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury on Monday for Dan and Jules pre-wedding shoot and wow what a gorgeous venue for their wedding day! The Barn has beautiful grounds which of course make for beautiful wedding pictures and these two are naturals in front of the camera and are going to be a fun Bride and Groom!

Will & Jade

We have had the craziest weekend which involved loads of powder paint of which i have been trying to use up since our "Trash the Dress" shoot! Well all the powder paint has gone and the last remaining few bags got used on these two!

Every pre-wedding shoot is different and we always like to have some fun to make you feel  relaxed and at ease in front of the camera. Pre-wedding shoots are a great opportunity for us to see how much you like the camera and also for you to see how great we are and why you chose us to be part of your special day - it can be a formal shoot or informal, at the studio or on-location and as fun as you want it to be!

I knew I could get away with using the powder paint on these two as Will is my cousin and Jade was super keen and up for some fun, even on the day I think Will was a little unsure of what we had in store for him "so what is this powder paint thing?" he said - haha well your about to find out. We did a selection of different poses (while they were clean) and then had some fun on the space hoppers then the powder paint - which involved lots of giggles!

Space hopper races - Will is very competitive!

We thought they would play nice - how wrong were we!

Fun in the Sun!

What a great weekend for photo shoots with the weather finally being nice, we have had some great outdoor shoots one of which is a shoot with Ella and Isla but not just any shoot we had beautiful buttercups, space hopper racing and powder paint - yep we let these two loose with powder paint! Luckily my friend Felicity (Mum) is just as crazy as me and thought what a great idea for a fun photo shoot and oh yes it was fun and very messy. We have done lots of different shoots with the girls and each time something different, but I don't know how I'm going to top this one!
Calm before the storm!
Giggles, giggles and more giggles!
