Newborn Photography

Even though I'm a videographer I have always done photography, mainly at weddings as a "second shooter" or at nursery schools, but my interest in photography is starting to grow and I have developed a lovely, enjoyable but challenging interest in Newborn photography!

I met baby Luca when he had his first ever family shoot with sister Honey, Mum and Dad. Luca was so tiny! After the photo session I asked Jo (mum) if she would mind if I took some photos of just Luca on a separate occasion and she was more than happy for him to model so I could further my photography skills.

Jo brought a selection of clothes with her and I was eager to use my new baby props.....very dinky props!
Luca was wide awake he didn't seem to mind having his photo taken...except every time the lights flashed he frowned, a very cute frown might add! After a while Luca was tired, so we wrapped up my first session...and I loved it!

Here is my favourite four images

New Venture

A new venture for us at Capture Every Moment...Boudoir Photography.

It doesn't matter what your age, shape or size is every woman loves to feel and look gorgeous. Boudoir photography can be done for any reason as a gift to the special man in your life, hen party's, engagements, valentines or just because you want to celebrate your figure!

This week we had two gorgeous girls who come in for two very different shoots......A Friend of mine, Amy was talked into  the shoot by her sister. Amy said she was nervous but was a natural, we wanted to make sure she was comfortable with the shoot and only wore clothes that she felt comfortable in, otherwise if your not comfortable it will show! We talked to Amy through out the shoot and discussed different poses, she was great!

"They are amazing hun, never thought they would look like that. So proud, thank you i just want to show them off xx"

Samantha wanted to do something different for her partners birthday, she wanted something more intimate and artistic  a real surprise for her partner. Samantha was also a natural, but was a little nervous about her body image, "I have two children so the gym doesn't exist!" she said with a smile on her face! We made sure Samantha was confident and comfortable in front of the camera and i think the photos are amazing!!

"Wow! He will be surprised, I'm surprised! Is that me? Thank you both very much" Samantha

Cirencester Sparkles

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee.....Wow! What a great day! The Abbey Grounds in Cirencester came to life with local dance groups, bands, stalls, food and much more. We were chuffed to bits to be asked to film and photograph the event.

The day started with 500 Cirencester residents of all ages, taking part in a parade while Cirencester Band played "royal flourish" a fanfare specially composed for the Jubilee by band master Ian Hartnell. Cirencester samba drumming group were also in the parade along with local organisations and our own "Diamond Jubilee family". In the Abbey grounds family and friends enjoyed a picnic and the various stalls on show, bands performed on the bandstand, fancy dress, dance and gymnastic displays and a mini pageant celebrating Cirencester's history. As the day turned too night local bands performed a mix of past and present music on stage.

We had our own stall on the day showing our work and what we do, Lorna and Lisa did a fantastic job talking to everybody while we captured the day's events! Lots of people waved their flags when they saw the camera and gave us big smiles but most of all everyone seemed to enjoy the day!

Olympic Torch Relay

23rd of May 2012 what an exciting day in Cirencester!

On this beautiful sunny day, an estimated 8,000 people turned out to watch the Olympic Torch make its way through the town, different generations lined the streets waving their flags, the atmosphere was buzzing with laughter and cheers. In the Abbey grounds live music was played through out the day, people sat enjoying the sunshine and listened to the great music being played.

Paul was out and about through out the day to capture the events on this glorious day

Row your boat....

We had a fantastic time when  Maria organised for her and her five Sisters, Brother, and two nieces plus Partners to have a photo shoot to surprise their mum for her birthday, it was a great atmosphere and they were happy to pose away!

It was great fun getting the little ones to smile, everyone had to sing "row row" it was like having a choir in the studio! I lost count how many times we sang the song....

"Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream,
merrily, merrily, merrily life is but a dream.
Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream,
if you see a crocodile don't forget to scream!"

"Fantastic job guys, really enjoyed today. Have never felt so relaxed or enjoyed having my own photo taken up until now thanks to capture every moment. Brilliant photography just want to buy the whole lot!!" Kelly

"If you fancy having some really nice pics done i highly suggest capture every moment photography studio so check them out!!!" Maria

Editorial

Thought I would share this editorial with you as featured in a local magazine in Cirencester.

Business Profile Carissa Jones and Paul Johns.
Capture Every Moment Photography & Video

Carissa Jones began her photographic and video company ’Capture Every Moment’ three years  ago in 2009 in partnership with her dad Paul Johns, an award winning photographer. Although the business was Carissa’s idea originally, they have always worked successfully together as a father / daughter team. They started off based in the family home in South Cerney, but despite the recession the business has grown steadily and they have recently taken a lease on a lovely and well situated studio just off Cirencester town centre in Templar Mews, Black Jack Street. It is loft like with Cotswold oak beams which make a great quirky background for indoor shoots. Their clients have remarked on its welcoming atmosphere, especially for the youngsters who feel very relaxed, but that’s probably in no small part because Carissa is a qualified Nursery Nurse who is very experienced in bringing the best out of children! She will always try and work her magic with them and this may include throwing balls at Paul, singing a song or two, even roaring like a lion....generally acting the clown! And it works.Carissa has over six years experience in the business. She has been trained by Paul, who’s had a camera in his hand since he was 16, but the videography is self-taught with guidance from a friend. They specialise in weddings, events and portraits, and Carissa looks after the admin and the business side of things too.Weddings often bring surprises, both good and bad. One time they discovered that groomsmen will do anything for the camera – even a back flip against a wall. Another time they were hired to film a wedding, alongside a different photographer, when half way through the wedding the photographer threw a strop and walked out! Paulseamlessly stepped into the breach as photographer to help the bride and groom out, thus saving the day. “The wedding was a success and they had free photos from us!" says Carissa.
